Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and was raised by the multiracial, mixed-ethnic family. Her parents are Malaysian and from Sri Lanka. Their father Elroy Fernandez hails from Sri Lanka. She has two younger brothers as well as an older sister. She was raised and born in Bahrain. The family of her parents been to the country in the 1980s as a result of the turmoil that occurred in Sri Lanka. After her winning the 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone entered the television world and hosted a program about Sri Lankan business known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the child of former badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. When she was in her teens, Padukone competed at the national badminton tournaments levels. But, she resigned from the game to become a fashion designer. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. She is Mangalorean in her origins. Her lineage hails from Padukone village located in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District in the state of Karnataka, India. The father of her, Prakash Padukone, is an old badminton player who is of global repute. Her mother works as a travel agent.
